Our Story
Look, we didn't start out trying to be the fanciest shop in North Vancouver. It began in a smaller space down on Lonsdale with a simple idea - European cars deserve techs who actually get them.
I'd spent years at dealerships watching customers get frustrated with cookie-cutter approaches. Your BMW's not the same as a Honda, right? Different philosophies, different engineering, different souls really. So we carved out our niche focusing on what we're genuinely passionate about - European and luxury performance vehicles.
The name? Yeah, it's a bit dramatic. "Ember" represents that fire we have for performance work, "Gale" is about speed and precision, and "Australis" pays homage to the southern cross - a nod to where some of our training originated. Plus it sounded way cooler than "Mike's European Auto."
We've grown since those early days, moved to this bigger facility on Marine Drive, added some serious equipment, but the core mission hasn't changed. We're here to tune, fix, and enhance vehicles that deserve specialized attention. No shortcuts, no generic parts thrown at problems, just proper diagnostics and solutions that actually work.
